20/20 Cricket - with all due respects

Twenty/20 cricket comes to Australia again tonight with the Australians taking on the Kiwis in Perth.
I am a cricket fanatic but I won't be watching it. Not because I have anything against 20/20 but because Sri Lanka are playing England in a Test Match in Colombo which is being shown on Fox Sports 3.
There is no contest between Test cricket and 20/20. The Aussies aren't even taking it too seriously, they have rested Ricky Ponting and Matthew Hayden and have handed the captaincy reins over to Michael Clarke. CA have told the players to take it more seriously. How can they? Especially the bowlers, why would they get excited about going out on the ground to bowl 4 overs maximum and be at the mercy of the batsmen through contrived field placings and being forced to bowl right in the batsman's swing zone?
20/20 makes the batsman play an unnatural game where they have no opportunity to play themselves in and build a score. This could flow on into Test cricket to the detriment of the game. Bowlers cut down their pace to bowl accurately as to not incur the wrath of umpires through no-balls and wides.
Twenty/20 ,nor one day cricket for that matter, just doesn't have the cerebral aspect of the game that Test cricket has. Bowlers don't get the opportunity to work a batsman over with a few overs of aggression, be it by bowling at him or through aggressive field placings (i.e three slips, a couple of gullies and a short leg). The batsman is always on top of the bowler and any advantage the bowler has such as the two white balls of yesteryear, is take away form him immediately. Further proof of this in recent times is the introduction of compulsory power plays and the changing of the ball after 34 overs . What hope do bowlers have.
I have nothing against 20/20, especially when Australia are playing our arch enemy but even neutral nations playing Test cricket has more appeal to my viewing senses
