Steve price showed his leadership all night with his strong defense.
Last night the Warriors handed the Roosters a second half hammering to set up a clash with Manly next Saturday night. After some promising signs in the opening half, the Roosters crumbled and were held scoreless in the second stanza.

The Warriors got off to a flying start when Michael Witt put a kick through close to the line that hit the post and was gathered by Lance Hohaia. The Warriors fullback then dove over the line and secured the Warriors opening try.

For the remainder of the first half the Roosters dominated possession and even though New Zealand were resilient in defense, Mitchell Pearce was able to bust over close to the line in the 29th minute.

That was closely followed by a controversial try scored by Anthony Minichiello (32). After battling for a ball in the in-goal area with Lance Hohaia, Minichiello was awarded a penalty try that bemused everyone.

With Braith Anasta kicking a field goal in the last minute, the Roosters held a 13 - 6 lead going into the break.

The second half was dominated by ruthless dummy half runs from the Warriors. The tiring Sydney forwards were taken advantage of when Hohaia skipped through the line in the 45th minute for his second try of the night. Ten minutes later, man of the match Ian Henderson buried through some Roosters defenders to take the lead for the home side.

The New Zealand steam train continued to roll on when big Manu Vatuvei crossed in the corner following some smooth passing from his team mates. With 20 minutes to go it looked as though the Warriors were already heading to Fortress Brookvale.

This was confirmed in the 75th minute when Aidan Kirk intercepted an Anthony Tupou offload to run 70 metres and seal the win. Warriors 30 - Roosters 13.

The Ruben Wiki inspired Warriors have now cemented a major semifinal birth for the first time since 2002. They will carry sensational form into the clash with Manly having won 10 out of their last 12 games.

The Broncos host Melbourne tonight in another clash of the titans. This game has the potential to be one of the best of the season. The winner will set up a major semifinal against the defensive Cronulla Sharks.
