Buddy Boy

As a life long hawthorn supporter, people would be forgiven for thinking that I may be a little bias. However I cant help but feel that anyway who watches AFL on a regular basis, and saw Sunday nights Havks Demonds 'contest', would be pondering the much the question ' Just how good could this boy be?'
Now I realize that it wasn't just Franklin that won us that game, far from it. To go through all the awsome performers of the Hawthorn side thiis week though would take way to long. So I'll just focus on our spearhead, the inigma that is Lance 'Buddy' Franklin.
Having seen him come through the last 3 years, from being a bright eyed, bushy tailed young man fresh out of the draft and eager to learn. To being the man he is to day, bambooziling countless AFL defences, and keeping Hawthorn (and opposition) supporters on their toes as to what he will do next. I have to say there has been alot of change in the young mans game since he played his first match at the top level. The spirit is willing but at times the consistency is still lacking.
In his earlier days he made alot of the things he did wrong look good. For example, dropping a mark and then running onto it and baulking a few before snapping around the corner. But what I've seen in more recent times, with his improved confidence and ever baulkening stature is that he can also play the power forward role and win hard ball in marking contests instead of just getting those fancy, but cheap goals.
This once again leads me to beg the question. If he can handle himself like Jonathan Brown in the one on ones wrestles, then pounce on the groundballs in a manner that would make Leon Davis or Brad Johnson proud, how good could this boy be
