Mayweather v Hatton and a bit of cricket

The big WBC Welterweight title fight is on today between the flashy American Floyd Mayweather and the Mancunian working class man Ricky Hatton. It promises to be spectacular and punishing main event which could go either way.
I must say that I ain't an expert of the boxing world but have done enough reading to know that Mayweather is the classic stylist whilst Hatton is the in-your-face brawler who will look to get close to Mayweather.
According to reports there are rumours flying around Las Vegas that Floyd Mayweather is having problems with his hands and if that is the case it could said that he is no hope of knocking out Ricky Hatton. The general consensus is that Mayweather is a superior boxer to Hatton who is known for his punching power, particularly in the body area. and the expert word is that if Hatton wins, it will be by knocking ouy Mayweather.
Here is where the punting brain comes in. TAB Sportsbet in their generous spirit have allowed punters to get something out of this clash of the titans. They are offering 2.00 about Mayweather winning the fight on points and 4.50 about Hatton knocking out Mayweather. I suggest that may be the way to go. If Mayweather wins, punters will break even, if Hatton KOs Mayweather we make a 250% pofit.
My knowledge is limited on boxing but this is THE sporting event in the world today and is worth a wager. Hopefully we get something out of it.
Back onto firmer ground for me, Sri Lanka and England go at it in the Second Test at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. England have been jolted by the loss of the honest Matthew Hoggard who has been ruled out with a back injury. His likely replacement is Steve Harmison who, since the Ashes in 2005 has shown himself to be a weak, insipid impersonator of a Test cricketer. His 2006/2007 Ashes series was disgraceful, the lack of heart he showed was an embarrassment to the three Lions cap. He just does not try away from home. Some call it homesickness, I call it a distinct lack of ticker.
Sri Lanka farewelled a true great in Sanath Jayasuriya after the first Test, he is to be replaced by Upul Thuranga. The inexperience in Sri Lanka's team will be able to be nursed through by Murali, Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara who has taken his game to a new level since he gave up wicketkeeping duties at the start of 2007. His last three test matches have been absolutely outstanding, his 192 agaist Australia was a flawless exhibition. He'd still be batting now if not for a poor decision from Rudi Koertzen.
I can't see England's very ordinary attack (Harmison / Broad, Sidebottom, Anderson and Panesar) taking twenty wickets to beat Sri Lanka. No doubt the wicket will be prepared to suit Murali and Sri Lanka should beat England again. TAB Sportsbet are offering 1.95 on Sri Lanka which is a very ordinary price. English bookies are offering 2 bucks and other Australian bookmakers are betting up to 2.15 on Sri Lanka. Snap it up they should win easily.
