Midweek action

Pakistan have just done the right thing for us here and held on for a draw against a rampaging India. Things didn't look good when India piled on over 600 in their first dig but a big Misbah-ul-Haq century enabled Pakistan to avoid the follow on. From there it was always going to be difficult for India to force a win considering only 22 wickets were taken for the match.
Whilst we are still 2 units down from 14 invested since our inception, we have some play money for midweek sports action. Since the collect was 2.45 units from Pakistan, we will take .45 profit and reinvest 2 units.
Firstly, AC Milan host Celtic at the San Siro stadium. Celtic shocked Milan by beating them at Celtic Park in their earlier meeting in the UEFA Champions League. I think ,at home, Milan might be too strong. The bookies have them as a 2.20 chance to belie their recent league form at home where they have only scored three times this season. On Sunday Milan played out a 0-0 draw with fellow Serie A heavyweight Juventus. In the Champions League they have beaten both Shakhtar Donetsk and Benfica at home and I don't think they will have too much trouble with Celtic who will be pressing forward in the typical Scottish tradition. To gain an extra 10% out of your money couple AC Milan in result doubles and in doubles to win Group D. Sportsbet in Australia are offering a Group winner bet.
In Australian domestic cricket, Queensland take on South Australia at the Gabba. South Australia are struggling this year and are about to find things a lot tougher when they face a Queensland side that is in a good enough shape to rest their leading wicket taker, Ashley Noffke. The Bulls also happen to be able to slot in a couple of handy players by the names of Matthew Hayden and Andrew Symonds into their batting line-up. Shaun Tait will certainly be needed to fire out a few Queenslanders with his 155kmh rockets. Queensland just pack too many guns for the Redbacks and should win comfortably. Prices range from 1.45 to 1.53 amongst bookies
