I am sick and tired of high class AFL Footballers with egos as big as their saleries and the assumption that they are invincible and can do whatever they want. They parade around like idiots and in some cases the clubs they play for do nothing about it other then to give them the occasion strongly worded reprimand or token fine.
The lavishly payed young men have the world at their feet, they have abilities many of us mere mortals would kill for and they squander their gifts away in pursuit of a 'party life. They do whatever they feel whenever they feel without any signs of remorse or having learnt their lessons. Then they wonder why they come under such harsh media scrutiny.
Ben Cousins for example, no self respecting AFL fan, or for that matter any Melbournian who bothers to read the papers doesnt know who he is. He has been under alot of scrutiny last year and in my opinion he deserves everything he gets.
He did something stupid, was suspended, comes out and plays again after putting on a fony apology. Then no more then a few months later he does the same sort of thing again and as a result he can't play any more....fair enough.
That tattoo on his chest, what is that about 'Such is Life'. No Ben such is your life because you make it so. If you are so doped up you can't see that then I pity you. You, all AFL footballers should learn that you are role models wether you like it or not.
