Sunday night sport

Hopefully this afternoon's Glory win over the Melbourne Victory has lined your pockets with cash to have a crack at some sporting wagers tonight. It is still hot down here in Melbourne so I am preparing for a sleepless night in front of the TV watching a bit of sport.
English Premier League has two games for decision. Liverpool should beat Bolton tonight, Liverpool's midweek win in the Champions League was outstanding. Bolton beat Manchester United last week, some would say they were a bit fortunate...(ignore that last bit, I know I promised not to be biased, sorry!). Bolton bob up every now and then but on this occasion the Spion Kop at Anfield should be able to roar their team on to a win. Liverpool are generally around the 1.30-1.40 mark around the traps so anything above 1.40 should be snapped up.
Tottenhm Hotpsur face Birmingham in the other game. Spurs should account for the strugling Birmingham, especially at White Hart Lane but the day will never come where my hard earned goes on Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. They are the most erratic and inconsistent club in British football. They play beautiful passing football at one match then would struggle to beat a pub team at other times. They are just too inconsistent to be backed with confidence.
Across the Atlantic, the National Football League serves up a couple of tasty little morsels for punters. San Francisco travel to Carolina's Bank of America Stadium to face the Panthers who are looking for their first win since the 19th November 2006 at their home ground. They have lost their last 7 games on their own patch. The 49ers have hadly been slaying them in the aisles recently either, having only broken an eight game losing streak last week in overtime against the Cardinals. The 49ers have the worst offence in the NFL but it is only marginally worse than the Panthers. I think the losing streak at may home may play on the Panthers' mind and allow the 49ers to sneak under their guard. The bookies have San Francisco at between 2.20 and 2.40 to roll the Panthers.
Arizona and Cleveland will stage a shootout in Arizona. Defence is not a big concern for either team, both ranking in the bottom quarter of the NFL but both offences are highly ranked. The Browns are only trailing the Pittsburgh Steelers by one game in the AFC North conference. The Browns are 2-3 away from home but two of those losses came at the hands of the unstoppable New England Patriots and division leader, the Pittsburgh Steelers. If they are to be taken seriously as a playoff contender, they need to be winning games like these against ordinary opposition. The bookmakers can't spit them, both are between 1.85 and 2.00 but are no more than 5 cents apart in betting. The Browns for me.

Good info, but their D isn't as bad as you'd think, the last few weeks they have been tops in forcing turnovers, their big problem is giving the ball away themselves, which they have seemed to stop for now.
Good stuff on the blog as it seems to be stuff that I am not covering, I am into all sports and reading your blog may get me back into the other sports besides the big ones in NA.
Peace out for now...

In Australia, our coverage is only average. We only get the games from Fox Sports and ESPN but no NFL shows with info, just NFL films. With the great stats on the website it gives just enough to go on hence the mixed results on NFL.
I look forward to your hometown comments
