The Sydney Swans continued their return to form in fine style with a comprehensive 43-point victory over the Western Bulldogs at Manuka Oval in Canberra.
The Bulldogs received a welcome financial compensation to move their home game to the nation's capital, but the loss of home ground advantage was illustrated by a predominantly red and white crowd. The Swans, with better local knowledge, dominated from start to finish against a flat Bulldogs lineup that were never in the contest.
I made the trip down to Canberra for the weekend - down the Highway, past the relocated Big Merino and Lake George, which in its drought-ravaged state bears a remarkable resemblance to a lunar landscape. Here's some pics I took at the game. Enjoy!!!
