Greetings folks
Sporting Daily.net has become part of the Punters Daily stable. For info and suggestions on all things related to sports wagering and for comment and opinion on all sporting matters, drop by this neck of the woods and see what my little grey cells are thinking.

It's pretty hot down here in Victoria today. It's a perfect day to just kick back on the couch with the remote control and flick around the sporting world on the TV.

The V8 Supercars kick off in about an hour from now at 11.25 ADST. TAB Sportsbet are offering a head to head wager between Ford and Holden. The odds are 2.70 for the Blue Oval and 1.40 for the Holden team to salute. I'll be watching as part of my sports rotation but won't be wagering here. I have a sneaking suspicion Ford might be a little bit of value.

Still in Australia, there is an A-League game between the Melbourne Victory and Perth Glory.
Neither side, on form, can be considered a chance for title honours this year. The Victory were very fortunate to graft a 2-1 win over Perth in Melbourne in November. I think the tables can be turned on a Victory side who are struggling to get their best eleven out on the park due to injury and being a very ill-disciplined unit this season. You can get 3 bucks about Perth winning today and 3.30 about the draw. Either of those results will see a profit even if you back both.

I will get something out in the open before I go on as I should have declared allegiances before I started this blog. I am a Victory supporter and a mad Manchester United man. Previous posts on the Sporting Punter blog have been written with a bias and I promise I will try to eradicate that bias here.

The NBA game between the Chicago Bulls and the Charlotte Bobcats tips off in about an hour and a half from now. This one is a very interesting affair indeed. Neither team's form is anything to write home about. The Bulls are 2-3 at home this season and the Bobcats are 1-4 on the road this year. The Bobcats are on four game losing streak but lost three of those games to pretty good opposition They played both of the league leaders, the Celtics and Magic and hardly disgraced themselves at all, especially against the Celtics, losing 96-95. The Bobcats blotted their copybook last time out being flogged 110-90 by the Miami Heat. The 3-10 Bulls are the easiest opposition Charlotte have played in their last five games and I think they can sneak past the Bulls at the odds of around the 3.00 mark.

There is plenty more sport to bet on this evening and overnight. So I will check back in a little later with some thoughts on tonight's soccer and NFL action.

Until then, good punting
